Biscuit and the little girl find a baby duckling.

WOOF! WOOF!

That's my dog protesting that this is a sad story about a dog who failed to secure a tasty snack.
These books are very short, very repetitive, very predictable, very simple.

Great early readers.

They could also be great for toddlers and babies, who use that repetition to learn to speak, but they're written so simply that you'll be bored to tears after reading the book more than three times. And you can read these books several times in one sitting, they're that short.

Give them to your kid when they start reading and insist that THEY read the books - not you. Do not fall into the trap of reading them. Ever. If your kid is like the ones I know, they'll fall in love and you'll be trapped.
Biscuit is the first book I read all the way through by myself when I was a child so the series holds close to my heart. This book is about biscuits finding of a new duckling who he becomes friends with. The duckling comes along with biscuit but when they go to the park the duckling joins a family of other ducklings and returns to where its meant to be. The book is illustrated very simply and works well for young children. The vocabulary is also simple yet introduces new words.
How can you fail when you have a puppy helping a lost duckling find its family. You have to love the part when the wet puppy shakes itself dry all over the child! Appropriately cute and well illustrated for a young reader. "Biscuit" is a tough word on its own but this story allows it to become recognizable in context.
Biscuit is a little dog who is out walking with his owner. He is exploring the world around him, when he stumbles upon a baby duck. Biscuit and his owner take the baby duck back to his family in the pond, but when they start the leave, the baby duck follows them.
The illustrations in this book are very cute and appealing to children. The story line is not very deep, but children att this age are so excited to be able to read the words so it still serves a purpose. I would use this books for those children who are recognizing sight words and are able to sound out decodable words.
This book is about a dog named Biscuit who meets a cute little yellow lost duckling. Biscuit and his new friends go through many different adventure, but finally find their way back to the lost ducklings home!

This book would be great for a primary classroom to read! It is full of fun and wonderful pictures! This book is very encouraging for kids to make friends and help others in hard situations!
A very good early reader book. One of the first a new reader will be able to read without frustration.
