Endlich habe ich mir den ersten Teil der Saga "geleistet". Die Story ist spannend erzählt, mit historischem Hintergrund und dunklen Familiengeheimnissen. Die Zeichnungen sind differenziert und der jeweiligen Erzählsituation mehr oder weniger detailreich. Sie reichen vom schemenhaften Umreißen bis zu geradezu filigranen Realismus. Die hervorragende Colorierung vermittelt die düstere, unheilschwangere Atmosphäre sehr spürbar.
Story, Zeichnung und Colorierung von "Der Krieg der Sambres" entspricht fast perfekt meinen Vorstellungen von guten Comics. ( )

Ce livre explique l'origine de la 'guerre des yeux' de la famille Sambre, ainsi que l'origine des tensions entre les membres de la famille. Attention aux yeux rouges! ;-)

Les dessins sont hautement évocateurs de l'époque, et le changement graphique est justifié par rapport aux autres Sambres. Autre époque=graphisme different. ( )
