In "Leni Riefenstahl" wordt het leven en werk van de beruchte Duitse cineaste Leni Riefenstahl besproken. Riefenstahl werd vooral bekend door haar films "Triumph des Willens **" en "Olympia" waarin ze het Nazi-regime verheerlijkte. Riefenstahl was persoonlijk bevriend met Hitler, hetgeen erg handig was voor haar carriêre. In de jaren 60 en 70 fotografeerde ze uitgebreid de Nubastam in Soedan, dat een prachtig fotoboek opleverde.
Het boek geeft een redelijk overzicht van het leven van Riefenstahl, maar is saai geschreven en bevat bovendien veel onnodige typfouten. ( )
