Wee Sing: Musical Games, Rhymes and Silly Songs by Pamela Conn Beall. Epiphany library section 9 E: Juvenile (K- gr. 5), Activities. These Wee Sing books originally came in smaller format with audio tapes. This is a reformatted, larger size edition without the tape. It does include musical notation, lyrics (and in some cases hand or body movement directions) of each song or rhyme. Section One includes choosing rhymes (choosing sides for teams through use of songs), circle and singing games, and jump rope, ball bouncing and clapping rhymes. Section Two includes songs about people we’ve met, animals we’ve known and things we’ve seen.
They’re all here, like London Bridge, Polly, Put the Kettle On, Categories, The Hokey-Pokey, show more Michael Finnegan, Little Bunny Foo Foo, and There’s a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea. Looking through this book brought back lots of memories from circle games I’d played with schoolmates, and silly songs I taught my kids. You’ve have lots of giggles and fun with this super book. Some of the songs with hand movements are concentration-builders! They are fun for kids to learn and perform. When is the last time you and your kids dissolved into giggles together? Enjoy it with some kids you know soon. After your kids are worn out, enjoy some read aloud stories together to complete the perfect family afternoon. show less
