A girl who lives with her grandparents learns how to trade eggs for all ingredients needed to make sancocho the day they didn't have money to buy them in the market

Maria enjoyed Saturdays because those were the day her and her grandma made sancocho. Unfortunately, they did not have the main ingredient to do the broth, which was the chicken. They only had eggs. So the grandmother and Maria head to the the store and they begin to trade with other people at the store to get what they need, but always keeping a little bit of everything they had before they would trade it. In the end they were able to get a hold of the chicken and make the sancocho.
