Today I am sad. I'm always sad when a series ends, when I know there probably won't be another story to wait for, another glimpse to the characters I love with all my heart. And no matter how many times you reread that series, it's not the same as the first time, when you were waiting and counting days till the publishing date of the newest book or when you spent countless hours on the author's forum, trying to see if there are new details, new hints or even rumors about the upcoming books.

I tried to avoid reading Live Wire as soon as I got it for these reasons. For six years Lora Leigh's fans have waited for this particular book, for big, bad Jordan Malone to finally find his match, his soul-mate. I have a feeling that maybe we were show more all hoping that the end would never come. And yet here it is.

Jordan Malone, a.k.a. Live Wire, always seemed untouchable, detached, almost cold. He was always the logical one, the one with all the plans, the one who had an answer for everything and the one who didn't mind stepping on a few toes if that got the job done. He never believed that love could last a lifetime, considering that love was just another name for lust.If in the other books from the Elite Ops. series I thought he was a cynical bastard, his story confirmed it. But he also is a very good friend, one that would risk his own life to help the ones he cares about.

Tehya Talamosi is the daughter of a terrorist. We first met her in Killer Secrets as the young girl trying to escape the fate that awaited her if her father ever found her alive. I liked her character very much and I always hoped that she would be the one who ended up with Jordan. I like way she evolved from the first time we met her. She's more confident, more daring than before.

I like the fact that we get to see the other guys too. I was a tad disappointed at first because the scenes with the others were few and short, but I think the ending scene made up for that. I like seeing all the couples being brought together and I think it was a good ending, even though bittersweet.

I also noticed that there were a few loose ends and that makes me hope for a new series tied to this one, but I'll just have to wait and see.

I didn't like was the editing. I hope maybe St. Martins will do a better job at editing in the future, because there were times when it was seriously annoying. Though I'll probably reread the book again and again, no matter the editing errors, because I loved the story.

I hope Lora Leigh will once again surprise us with a spin-off, a newer version of the Elite Ops. series and I hope it will happen soon. But if that never happens, I'm glad to have read this series. It was a very good one.

What an amazing finish to this thrilling series. It was everything that made the Elite ops the hottest action series I've read in a while. I've been waiting to see how Jordan and Tehya were going to 'resolve' their extremely unfulfilled sexual tension and tehre you go, some awesomely hot scenes and bad guys and sad times too. The whole gang was here and the epilogue was the sweetest thing ever. Loved it.
I am so confused on my feelings about this book. I liked it, but wanted more for Tey and Jordan's story. I was disappointed in it, but I am glad I finished it. I was pleased with the ending, even though I felt robbed of any romance.IMHO by bringing in all the Seals and Elite Ops took away some much needed Tey & Jordan time. But I understand why LL included them all to be able to tie up the two series everyone has loved. Personally, I would have loved more scenes between Tey and Jordan. I LOVED seeing all the other couples and the new characters, but I missed out on interactions between Jordan and Tey. The sex scenes were HOT as normal, LL knows how to write them so well ;-) I am glad to hear that she is starting a spin off series, show more Wounded Warriors, which I am guessing will have Rory, Killian and a couple more soldiers introduced in LW, I won't say names cause it could be a spoiler if you haven't finished the LiveWire.I didn't hate LW, but it wasn't what I personally hoped for for Jordan and Tey. Maybe I am just biased because Nathan/Noah & Jordan have been my favorites of the series and I just wanted more Jordan.... show less

This is probably the saddest of all the books in this series. This is the last story and there questions that need to be answered. What happens to Rory Malone? What happened to Journey Taite? Who is Beauregard Grant? How was he involved with the Taite family and why? We do finally find out who was behind all the terror and killing in Tehya past. It is a shocking and very sad revelation. Ms. Leigh does a very good job of keeping us guessing about who is behind the new threat on her life. She loves to keep our attention someone in a lesser position while the bigger villain is lurking in the background. One of the good things about this story is we get more history on Jordan and Tehya. They are such a tortured pair. Jordan is so long in show more denial of love that it takes a threat on Tehya life to see what he is about to lose. I have longed to finally read Jordan's story. He is such a arrogant and manipulative man that he need to have his take down done by a fireball that is Tehya. Jordan is very dominant and possessive. He has come to be another of my favorite characters in this series.

Tehya is a very tortured soul. She has only known peace and security for the six years that she was with Elite Ops. She has long to have a home and something to call her own. She wants a family and friends. She is tired of looking over her shoulder and worrying about who is going to die the next time she is helped. Tehya is intelligent and strong willed. She is also compassionate and caring. She tried to make a difference in the lives of those that she has come to care about. She is stronger than than her enemies think she is. She is a likable character.

Ms Leigh definitely brought the full measure of dominance into this story. In some way it would have been nice if Jordan had actually spanked Tehya at some point. There is plenty of hot, steany sex in this story but not so much that it overwhelms the story. There are also several action scenes that keep the story interesting and moving at a good pace. This is a wonderful ending to a great series.

Exactly what one expects from Lora Leigh. Great sex scenes, a simple but fun mystery, substandard writing, and the worst copy editing imaginable. Fun throw away mommy porn.
Great wrap up to the Elite Ops series and great introduction to her new Wounded Warrior's series. This book did a very good job of wrapping up all the loose ends from the Seals and Elite series. You get to see or hear about every member from both teams. It was great to finally see Jordan Malone fall and Tehya was the perfect woman to bring him down. Sad to see this series end as I was the Elite Ops when it ended but she has alot of new series coming out and the potential for more based on a few loose ends of new characters that were in this book.
