Joan Mueller's method of enhancing the facts of Francis's life with vivid descriptions and dramatic dialogues will help readers visualize Francis the man. They might even hear him singing his wonderful songs. They will enjoy living for a while with this sensitive friar and his explosive Bernardone family and his many faithful friends.
