The singsong poetry and gorgeous illustrations made this book a bedtime favorite of ours for years. Its message of hope, texture and richness in the experience of a single night and morning, is subtle and soothing.
Given the repetitions of this book, I think it would make for an excellent read aloud. That said, I'd use it in my classroom. I think that it would also be an interesting read for students so that's another reason to include it in my classroom.
