Like all of the Dell Shannon Mendoza mysteries, this follows a period of time in the LAPD. The characters are familiar, and grow throughout the series. The mysteries they solve are creative, including the story of how Sergeant Matt Piggott became hooked on tropical fish (which is detailed in this book).

Worth a read for someone who is interested in seeing real people instead of brutes and corruption.
