I am not 100% sure what I read and I'm definitely not gonna read it again.
So here's why. The MMC is a cad and not a hero, nor a villain. His acts in the novel are inexcusable. First he sees sexual assault and almost rape and says that the predators are just playing "sport". But when it was actually going to happen he intervenes. However, since there are 2 girls there to the other Native American girl he does nothing when the same thing was going to happen.

Another instance is when he didn't know who the FMC was and thought nothing of it to taking her nightgown straight off when she was unconscious, just to see how badly hurt she was and maybe rape her. But since it as the girl he was trying to ind he was "oh it wouldn't be show more right ti see her in this helpless condition, I'll wait until morning when she is awake. But if it was a rando woman he wouldn't treat her with the same respect. Some values he has.

So ya, this is why this book was a let down for me. show less
