1981. A New York City cabbie, Emma Hobart, gets involved in a series of murders. This harrowing mystery was a gem. The details about New York and driving a cab alone were worth the price of admission. A gritty, 70s cast of characters; feminist, Vietnam war protesters; crooked politicians; union thugs and ruthless business men. Strong female lead. Who is this Ernest Larsen and why didn't he write any more books?
