Better than I expected. It answered some questions I had about what happened that night, as well as what happened afterwards - his activities, how he felt about it all, what else did he do, etc. It gave me some decent insight on 'the Family', the insanity of it all. I was a teenager when this thing went down, I remember the papers screaming about it - but I was too young to understand it all, I was just 14 and living in a town not unlike the one in Texas that he was in. Overall, good story, I enjoyed it. I learned some from it, as well as 'a blast from the past'.
So, our hero traded Mansonism for Christianity, had four kids conceived via conjugal visits, found some measure of peace and meaning and went on with his life [on the inside]. Meanwhile, the seven people he murdered are still, well, ...dead.
One star above 'terrible' for the insider's peak into "The Family", though not enough new information or insight to make this really worth reading. The final Jailhouse Religion chapter and the glowing epilogue from his pastor (and ghost writer) were eminently skippable.

Once ready to die for Charles Manson, Now living a new Life for Christ.
