Marion Woodman was born Marion Jean Boa in London, Ontario, Canada on August 15, 1928. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario. She worked as a high school English and drama teacher for more than 20 years. In the early 1970s, she moved from Ontario to England with her husband. While there, she entered analysis with Dr. E. A. Bennett. show more That experience drew Woodman to the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, where she completed training in 1979. She became a psychoanalyst and set up practice back in London, Ontario. She wrote numerous books including Addiction to Perfection, The Pregnant Virgin, Bone: Dying Into Life, and The Maiden King: The Reunion of Masculine and Feminine written with Robert Bly.
