This was once again a great read by Kathleen Woodiwiss. It starts out with the damsel in distress calling all the shots but she falls in her own trap and falls for the hero.

Kathleen E. Woodiwiss was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on June 3, 1939. Her first novel, The Flame and the Flower, was published in 1972. She wrote 13 historical romance novels during her lifetime including Shanna, A Rose in Winter, Come Love a Stranger, The Reluctant Suitor, and Everlasting.
