Oliver Pig was one of my favorite books growing up. I made my parents read it to me over and over and over. I wanted a little sister like Amanda, but instead I got a little brother. But I ended up liking him just as much as I liked Amanda.
Charming. Fully as lovely as Little Bear.

Jean Van Leeuwen was born in Rutherford, New Jersey on December 26, 1937. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Syracuse University. Before becoming a full-time author, she worked in the children's book department of a publisher.
