Take a ride with a magical little teapot as he unfolds the world to the young boy and girl whose home he shares. The children delight in the adventure awaiting them, from flying kites in China, to fox hunting in England, to flying with aliens in outer space.
"I'm a Little Teapot" is a picture book that introduces easy-to-read rhyming words, music, and themes of gratitude/thankfulness. This book follows the little teapot as it shows the two children illustrated in the book its dreams.
The main theme I was able to pick up on from this book was gratitude. The audience sees this as the little teapot thanks the other characters for letting them share their dreams. The literary elements of the book were something that stood out as well. The text consisted of many easy-to-read rhyming words that would be helpful for beginning readers. At the back of the book was also the "I’m a Little Teapot" song, which consisted of the text from the book. "I'm a Little Teapot" is classified as a picture book, show more as it uses pictures to portray the words from the text on each page.
I think "I'm a Little Teapot" is a good book for beginning readers as it uses easy-to-read rhyming words. I personally really liked this book growing up, and found it helpful to practice my reading skills. After re-reading it I still really like the book, and can see why I enjoyed it so much when I was growing up! show less

Join our rambunctious teapot as he gets all steamed up just waiting to share his imaginative adventures with you. Grab your coat as you sail down the river on a boat to China, run off to Mexico to fight a bull, race with the hounds on a fox hunt, and hide deep in the jungle where no one will find you.
A book to share with friends and family--after all, isn't that what "Tea-Time" is all about?

This is a great book for sing alongs. My mother used to sing this song to be when I was little, so I learned to love this book and song.
I really enjoyed this book! It is so much fun to read and it brings you all over the world. It would be a great book to teach about rhythm and rhyme in a poetry lesson.
A teapot takes children on a journey to China, Mexico, and space. Then she brews tea for the family to enjoy. This book shows children that the world is different in some parts but we always have something in common with each other and the way we live.
21 months - I just taught you this song last week so when we came across this book (with additional verses) I thought it would be fun. I really like Itsy Bitsy Spider by this author. I think some of the verses are difficult to sing but the adventure is fun as well as the illustrations.
