Description
Carl Matt - even his name mocks him. The people of Wattle Beach do their best to grind him under foot. Why are the Matts such pariahs? The answer lies in Wiseman's Cove, a short ride across the strait where Carl finds refuge in the most unlikely place. Wiseman's Cove has been waiting for Carl - waiting a long time.Tags

This book was alright, it was fairly repetitive and the story didn't seem to "epic". When I say epic mean something that looks at the BIG picture. The story progresses a bit fast then begins to drag over no problems at all. It starts off slow, and although it does pick up its pace, the book is still quite slow. Overall, it's an OK read, but isn't anything spectacular.
This is about how Matts mother dies and his sister leaves him and his brother at their aunts place. Matt has no freinds here and his brother is always in trouble. His aunt is complaining about the cost so matt gets a job and works on a barge but the barge has tough competition and Matt takes on the responsiblility of taking care of his brother. This story is very dramatic and you can visualise all the moments as if you were there!
i thought that a bridge to wisemans cove was pretty good for a school novel. Some parts of the novel are a bit boring but most of it was pretty good. I actually learnt a lot from it. I realise how lucky i am that i have a loving caring family and friends that i can count on.
I thought the book was a bit all over the place.
it also had a basic plot and there were some odd times were i didn't understand what the book was trying to point out.
what i did like about the book is that the book had some funny moments and deffenetly some wacky characters which i thought was quite good like Aunt Beryl she tied Harley up on a lesh and made him bark like a dog that is mean and cruel but freaking hilarious.

I thought this book had no story structure but the characters made me laugh when Aunt Beryl tied up Harley. Also when Skip's kid got run over by Carl's grandfather. Although I don't like the story at all.
This book was very well written. I found the characters very inspirational.
"Bridge to Wiseman's Cove" wasn't actually that bad but we had to read it for school... so I immediatly took to it as boring.
