No current Talk conversations about this book. 00014570 A.J. hates schools, hates reading, hates writing, and most importantly hates Andrea. Then why does he end up kissing her on Valentine’s Day!? It must have been because Mr. Louie, the school’s hippie crossing guard, spiked the school water with a love potion. He is always doing screwy things like that. This comical transitional chapter book is aimed at those kids who, like A.J., hate to read. The simple concepts and vocabulary make it easier for kids to read, so they do not get discouraged while the humor keeps them interested. The book also includes a couple of small, black-and-white illustrations per chapter that way kids are not overwhelmed by too much text. Large print and margins make this a great choice for those are reluctant to read. Recommend for children 7-10. no reviews | add a review
