During a hot subway ride, the Island Lady shows a little boy, Oscar, the contents of her bag, starting with "the cool blue Island breeze" and ending with "an Island town!" A grand time is had by all until Oscar and his baby brother and mother arrive at 125th Street. Colorful illustrations. Reminiscent of Daniel Pinkwater's Rainy Morning.
