Long awaited history of women in the Navy during the 20th century. Unlike Ebbert and Hall's book on the history of women in the Navy, Godson's book looks at both nurses and non-nurse officer and enlisted Navy women. This allows her to compare and contrast the progress made by both groups. An excellent general reference book and one that will be in frequent use.
