The repetitive words will help the young reader as they begin reading on their own. Otto has a lot happen to him in this story and the illustrations will help the reader understand what is happening, especially while decoding words as well. Large type, lots of space between sentences and words that are written to help describe their meaning, such as the sentence “Fall, fall, fall.” written in descending order, are also helpful to the young reader. Recommended for those beginning to read on their own and those practicing sight words in context. no reviews | add a review
