Description

Catherine Sayler has been taking some time off from her regular work as a financial P.I. when a criminal investigation catches her interest. Mitch Morrison, a loner and recovering alcoholic, has been killed, and Catherine thinks it's connected to a respected judge who sexually abused Mitch when he was a child. Catherine learns quickly what kind of man would abuse children and how he could get away with it for years. The more she uncovers about the judge, the more she learns about the endless show more perils children face every day -- and the more she puts both her reputation and her life on the line.... show less

The characters were well written and Catherine Sayler's tribulations with her rebellious runaway niece very believable. I would read another book by this author.
