This books is about a student named Ollie. This student was not good at a lot of things but he managed to figure out what his family's favorite food was, he cooks it for them and they enjoy it. It's a good book to read to kids because it is fun to read and the book keeps you guessing on what the family's favorite dish is! ( )

Cute story for 5-8 year olds about a boy that wants to be the best at something in school, but is really good at cooking and he doesn't do that in school. Until he finds that a famous TV chef is coming to visit their classroom and they have an assignment to find their family's favorite food. Ollie has a lot of trouble finding his family's favorite because his sister is a picky eater. Ollie eventually finds one food that ends up being the chef's favorite idea out of everyone in his classroom. Good story just to get your child to read. ( )

"Ollie feels outshined by the superlative students in his second-grade class, especially since he's not best at anything. he loves cooking....Bright with cheerful colors, Carter's line-and wash illustrations suit the upbeat tone..."
