Arnosky takes the reader on a boat trip with his wife, exploring the coral reef of the Florida Keys. He illustrates common animals seen in the story, and also delves into information about the Spanish shipwrecks one can explore off the coast.

Arnosky combines illustrations with vivid description of coral reefs and it is easy the perceive the excitement he has while exploring below the surface. Every kid imagines finding a ship with buried treasure and it is easy to tell that the treasure for Arnosky is the ocean itself. There is so much to find and this includes, if given the opportunity, yourself.

I enjoyed this book, and thought that the images well represented the facts that the writer was putting forth. It is a perfect read for a youngster who may not know much about coral reefs, and is visually stimulating
