Description
Evan Kiley's toddler, Robin, has been kidnapped. Immediately, the distraught father calls George Winton, the father of a little girl who had been abducted a year earlier and who had paid the ransom demanded without reporting the crime to the police. Kiley plays on Winton's guilt to solicit his help in getting back his son. But something goes terribly amiss when a woman dies, and a body is disposed of. Suddenly, the two men's lives are inexorably linked...Tags

I loved this book! You don't know until the very end what the truth is, after experiencing a lot of anguish from the thoughts of George Winton because he seems to be caught like a mouse. There seems to be no way out for him.
