A collection of short stories about the major and minor holidays, the work is inconsistent and has too many author's styles represented in the text. Some of the stories evoke terror and mystery, while other appeal to the cynical nature people have towards the major celebrations. It is a hit and miss, with some styles appealing and others driving readers completely from the narrative. ( )
