Inspirational, if you like a message with a Christian slant.
Memoir of about a dozen years of young adulthood during which Joan loses most of her sight and her husband dies of cancer. She is sustained by her faith and her love for her daughter. She becomes a motivational speaker based on those experiences and meets a new husband. By the last chapter she is gushing effusively.
