"When the world was new and full of color..." Mother Nature was so busy she forgot to color the birds. So monkeys come with paint to be her helpers. When the birds are all decorated, then legs and necks were stretched, feathers and combs added, beaks, bills, masks, etc. But then one last lost bird arrives. Alas! the only color left is brown. The bird is rather sad. But then they remember one last tiny pot. A drop of gold goes down its throat. It is the gift of song -- of the Nightingale.
