I was hoping to find more examples by great artists which isn't necessarily what this book gives you. But I did find some good ideas to try with the kids that I work with, so that was good. I appreciated the ratings of easiest to more difficult for each activity, so I could kind of weed out what would work for me. That being said, some the easiest ones appear challenging! ( )

Featuring more than 150 open-ended art activities, this guide teaches the styles, works, and techniques of the great masters—Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and many more great masters from the Renaissance to the Present. Go to www.brightring.com for a "click to" resource of each artist and one of their artworks.

Easy, common materials, creative, open-ended, and based on kids trying out the styles and techniques of the great masters from the Renaissance to the Present. I've learned so much! I love the little biographies because they usually tell something about the artist's life as a child. This is for all ages. ( )
