this book walks you through the life cycle of trees in an easy to understand, but not dumbed down way with excellent photography.
This non-fiction book shows the life of a tree, starting with the seed and ending with tiny fruits that emerge on it. The illustrations include diagrams with labels showing the different parts and how they are growing. A glossary is provided on the last page of the book giving definitions of key words and pages to find them on. Children can use this book to understand how trees grow and what happens after they are done growing by following the simple text and pictures of a forest scenery and using the glossary as a guide through their explorations. By the end of the story, children see that the tree rests in the winter and new leaves soon emerge, creating a new cycle.

It starts as a seed, then it grows leaves, then it has visitors that live in it, then spring comes and it grows buds, then it blossoms, making more seeds and maybe fruit. In the fall they harvest, winter the tree rests and finally it becomes a new tree, starting over.
