This book tells the story of Finn MacCool, an Irish giant who built the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. He built the causeway to see the Scottish giant, Benandonner. When Finn takes the path to Scotland Benandonner is nowhere to be found. But soon Benandonner takes the path over to Ireland to meet Finn, who has been taunting him with insults. When Finn recognizes that Ben is MUCH bigger he pretends to be a baby. When Ben sees the giant baby he figures Finn must be HUGE and runs back to Scotland, smashing the causeway.

A cute translation of the famous folktale. I loved the illustrations and wit of the pictures. A great find while I was at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland in July of 2012. This was a souvenir I brought back show more for me and my classroom. show less
