This book was another Inspector Bordelli translated by Stephen Sartarelli a superb translator.
This is about Italy trying to rebuild from the destruction made by WWII.
A finely written story and completely memorable characters that are treated with compassion and warmth.

post war detective Bordelli in Florence; well written, interesting if a bit dated; very helpful endnotes
Florencia, 1964.
