Why are we women so fascinated with bad boys? Is it because they’re uber-Alpha, uncontrollable, and so sexy they make our back teeth ache? Ok, maybe that’s just me…but, OH my goodness. Lora Leigh fans will be so delighted to have her naughty boys back in “Nauti Dreams”, book three in her ‘Nauti’ trilogy. She doesn’t disappoint as she turns up the heat with a hero and heroine tormented by painful pasts and haunted by a shared tragedy.

The action ratchets up a notch in this story where Natches MacKay finds his woman and the home he’s never quite dared to dream of. Natches has always been a bit of an outsider, even in the close-knit MacKay family. Dawg and Rowdy, show more cousins yet closer to Natches than brothers, always knew ‘something’ had changed him during his time as a sniper in Iraq with the Marines. He became colder and harder. In this last Nauti book, we find out exactly what, and more importantly who, caused that change.

Chaya is an intelligence agent who struggles with her past every day. She’s lost every person in her life that she loved and now she’s terrified of opening herself to that kind of pain again. Yet something inside her just can’t resist Natches, and when she’s ordered back to Kentucky she knows this time will be different. She managed to pull herself away twice…but will she even want to get away this time?

Natches can feel it the moment she’s back in his territory. Their bond is one that can’t be broken. He understands this and now he’s determined to make Chaya understand it as well. Twice before, he’s let her walk away, but the third time’s the charm and she’s had enough time…now they’ll play it his way.

The mystery of the terrorists in this last book of the trilogy was almost a distraction from the relationship between Natches and Chaya. I realize her losses made her hesitant, but really, this is Natches!!! The sexual tension between these two could light up New York and I don’t think I believe ANY woman would willingly walk away from that. Leigh does a great job painting Natches’ confusion regarding his feelings for Chaya and her assignment. And the way she mixes the mystery into the relationship and the growing understand the hero and heroine have for other is masterful. I wish the villain had been a little better developed, but I don’t think I can quite say with a straight face that anyone reads Leigh’s books for the villains. She knows what we like and provides it in spades and I’m sure many husbands/boyfriends would like to thank her for heating up their women for them. From the first Nauti book, I had a soft spot for the MacKay bad boys and hated to see this series end. BUT, hang onto your shirts! There is an announcement at the end of Natches’ story for a book titled “Nauti Intentions” to be released in spring of 2009, so apparently we’re not quite finished with the MacKays. And I and Ms. Leigh’s legions of fans are glad to hear it.

We finally get Natches story of the three I think his background is the hardest to read. His Dad was a real bastard and deserved more punishment than he received. I was glad that Natches found someone to love him. I knew that he would be one of those that loved with his whole being.

The DHS is trying to close the case that started with Johnny Grace. This case is tied to an older case and with men that live in Somerset. Natches and his cousins and uncle are going to have to pull all their knowledge and contacts in order to weed out the bad element in their little town. Chaya Cornwall is set in to ask questions and get Natches interested in what is really going on. When Natches sees Chaya again he knows that he won’t let her leave again. show more He has waited a long time for her and he is now going to make her his own.

Natches has survived a very abusive and miserable childhood thanks to his Uncle Ray, Rowdy and Dawg. He has carried the anger that his abuse bred around with him for all these years. In Chaya he finally finds something to temper that anger. She brings a light to the darkness in his soul. Natches is protective, loyal and honorable to a fault at times. There is little that he wouldn’t do to keep his family and few friends safe and happy. I think of all the Nauti Boys he is the one that is my favorite. He has become such a good person even with all that he has been through.

Chaya is an agent and a passionate woman. She has survived the betrayal of her late husband and the death of her daughter. She has fought to make her life have meaning and to be the best agent that she can be. She is courageous, smart and loving. She has tried to stay away from Natches because she knows that he is more than she thinks that she can handle. I liked Chaya very much. She isn't the smart mouthed, overbearing woman that are in so many of these stories. She knows when to follow orders and when to step in and make things happen.

This isn't an easy book to read. It isn't just the abuse that we learn about but the incestuous relationship between Dayle Mckay and Nadine Grace. It is also hard to read because the torture Chaya goes through before Natches can rescue her. It is the loss of a child and the betrayal of a spouse. There are good parts though each time Natches and Chaya bump heads. There are some very tender love scenes in this story and there are some really passionate ones as well. I enjoyed the story and will re-read it again and again I am sure.

I love Lora Leigh and her Nauti boys. She takes these playboy wild guys and matches them up with women who don't try to smother them into submission but who recognize the wildness and embrace it. Natches always was the one I felt would have the hardest time finally accepting that someone could be there for him. A woman who would understand his dark side enough to not try to fix him, but give him what he needs to heal. I will definitely continue to read the Nauti series. I love her passionate scenes they make me want to hand the book to my husband and say…”here is something I wouldn’t mind trying”.
This was Lora Leigh at her best. I loved this series and this is either a 2nd or 3rd reread for me. After meeting Natches in Nauti Boy and Nauti Nights and Chaya in Nauti Nights you really had no idea where there story would go. I absolutely loved the first chapter of this book. It was not what I was expecting. The shear heartbreak these two shared was soo emotional. This was one of her best series that just flowed from one book to the next and just kept getting better and better. (on a side note as I reread this - whoever her editor was during this series with this publisher - she needs to get them back as this book doesnt have all the error that have come with her lastest books)
This was my favorite of the 3 books so far. I really liked Natches a lot. He had his problems, but he didn't let them consume him. I also liked the way he pursued Chaya. I thought they made a wonderful couple.

One thing I found annoying was the overuse of the word "soul". Every time I read it, I just rolled my eyes. However, I am looking forward to Nauti Intentions.
So intense the words set the pages on fire!

There are only a few people Natches Mackay considers family and "Daddy" ain't one of them, but that's not keeping his sperm donor from making his life miserable in ways that are worse than anything in the past. Now Natches is being drawn into an intrigue that involves not only his family, but the woman he shares some rather brutal history with- the one woman who means more to him than his own life. Now he just has to make her understand that that is where she belongs, because he means to keep
her, forever. First he has to keep them alive.

Chaya Dane and Natches have some brutal history together, but not the kind most think. Having been owned by their government, she's back for one last mission, show more unaware that it will draw not only her, but the Nauti Boys and others into a miasma of trouble, deceit and destruction. Through it all, Chaya finds that her bulwark of strength is still the man who stood her through the horrors of the past and intends to be there through the future.

[a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg]'s last of the cousins not only grabbed me at the beginning, but that prologue set a pace I expected to be followed throughout the rest of the book and it was. The third and best book so far in the Nauti Boys series. I just fell in love with Natches. He's a guy who has been through hell and back. He becomes an assassin for the Marines and expects that's all will ever come of his life. Then at the end of a mission he intercepts a call for help and goes in guns blazing to rescue a female Intelligence officer, Chaya, in Iraq.

Four years later Chaya is working for Homeland Security when she meets Natches again. Chaya (Greta) is first seen in the second book of the series Nauti Nights. A year later she comes back in town to continue the investigation into arms dealing. Her boss, Timothy, is also show more back. Timothy hasn't given her all the details, but knowing him as she does Chaya is worried about what he's up to, especially when he tells her to keep the Mackay's out of her investigation.

Now she has Natches and his cousins even more curious about what she's doing. But what she's even more concerned about is being around Natches again. She knows that once he gets her back, he won't be letting her go.

I've liked all three books in the Nauti Boy series, but this one was my favorite of the three. It had an interesting plot that went past the fabulously sexy love scenes. The plot was well written and executed well.

It doesn't seem like in the beginning, Lora Leigh had planned to have a fourth book, but next up is Nauti Intentions. I'll be sorry to see the end of the nauti Mackay boys, but at least we got one more chance to hear about them.
