An often quoted and classic history book of the Disciples of Christ in Illinois. Not only does Haynes provide a historical sketch on every Disciples of Christ church in Illinois, he also provides many sketches on important persons of the Stone-Campbell religious heritage, most from Illinois.

There is no index, so it is not easy to find what you are looking for, but at least you have fun trying.
