3492. God-Sent A History of the Accredited Apparitions of Mary, by Roy Abraham Varghese (read Oct 21, 2001) This book was a disappointment, with no footnotes and no objectivity. Not a great book, but deals with interesting events. I much prefer a book like Marpingen: Apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Nineteenth-Century Germany, by David Blackbourn, which I read with much appreciation on 3 Nov 1994--it is carefully documented and aims not at hagiography
but at truth. ( )
