A few years ago Judith Henry put together a slender book called "Overheard at the Bookstore." It's one of those books you can read in 10 minutes if you're not in a hurry, but it is an entertaining 10 minutes. The book consists of photographs of people in bookstores and things she has heard people saying there.

To save you a couple of minutes in case you ever come across the book, I'll give you a few of my favorite lines overheard by Judith Henry:

"I asked for a book about the Beatles and he sent me to the nature section."

"You definitely don't have it, or you just can't find it?"

"This was such a good movie."

"Don't think that just because he's in a bookstore, he can read."

"The thing I don't understand is, who writes these books?"

"If it's a bestseller, I probably have read it."

"I need a book that doesn't put me to sleep."

Be careful what you say in a bookstore. Somebody may be listening. ( )
