Impossibile dimenticare le vivide immagini di questa lettura infantile. Soprattutto l'Ottimo Amburghese e la faccenda del Corsaro Verde e di quello Rosso che galleggiano putrefatti nella scia della nave del fratello, a eterno memento dell'onore e della vendetta. Sono passati trent'anni e ancora ricordo la sensazione mista di ilarità e fascinazione che, già a dieci anni, la prosa ampollosa e melodrammatica di Salgari mi suscitava. Dopo Sandokan e il Corsaro Nero non ci sarà mai altra avventura degna del nome, nella mia vita di lettrice. Star Trek non conta, lo danno alla tv.

Sempre avvincenti le storie di pirati e anche questa volta ne vengo catturata e affascinata.
**** SPOILER****
Dopo moltissime peripezie il Corsaro Nero si vendicherà finalmente di Wan Guld e ritroverà Honorata che, salvata dagli antropofaghi ne è, nel frattempo, diventata la Regina. Ritrovatisi se ne andranno da soli verso il loro destino. ( )
