A 13 year old girl has recently learned that she has mediumistic skills. She's taking pictures of the abandoned house next door when she notices the figure of a little boy in the window. The only issue is the little boy isn't there when she looks with here eyes. She enters the house and strange things begin to happen, cabinets open and close by themselves. There's an outraged spirit in one of the upstairs bedrooms as well as the spirit of the little boy in another. She makes it her duty to try and help the spirit of the little boy and learns how to block the energies from all spirits especially the angry man. Written with a teen/tween audience in mind.
Boght this at the book fair, and will be cataloging it soon for my kiddos, but I wanted to read it first. I thought book one actually was chill inducing for a middle reader book, so was looking forward to trying this one. As a kid who LOVED ghost stories and ghost books and TV (Remember "Are you Afraid of the Dark" 90's kids?) this really appealed to me even as an adult now. I think my students will really like it, it wasn't scary enough to give nightmares, but creepy in ways that I know my 5th graders will love
A bit creepier than the first book in the series, but very cute. Perfect for middle-grade readers.
this book is creepy but still interesting and mysterious, it is about a girl who can see spirits and is still discovering her potential.
kat is an average girl until she turns 13 and realizes she can see ghosts, she is still discovering her potential with a mysterious helper. In this book kat tries to help a little boy named tank who is in the hospital in a coma and somehow his spirit has deatached from his body.
This is the sequel to "School Spirit". I thought it was okay, but not as good as the first book.

Middle School medium Kat is back, and this time there are even more ghosts following her around.

Kat and her friend, Jac, decide to explore the house next door as part of their spring break school project. But an abandoned house means ghosts, and when Kat meets the spirit of a young boy, she and Jac have another mystery to solve - and another spirit to help.

SUDDENLY SUPERNATURAL is the perfect paranormal series for tweens. Kat and Jac are great characters, and I think readers can relate to their middle school struggles. Jac is clashing over the future of her cello career with her mom and Kat herself is finding herself in that transition into teen-hood.

Elizabeth Cody show more Kimmel's tween voice is perfect and the mystery is enough to keep even older readers engaged. A fun, quick read for fans of ghost stories, I'm looking forward to the next installment in Kat's story. show less
