Another nostalgic favorite. I'd read this to my daughter when she wanted to play school or when the school year began.

Christopher Robin is about to begin school, and he plays school with Pooh and his Hundred Acre friends to show them what it's like. Simple but pleasing.

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Pooh's First Day of School by Kathleen Zoehfeld is a book that teaches Pooh and the rest of the characters from the Hundred-Acre Wood about school. Pooh learns that Christopher Robin is going to school and thinks he and the rest of them can go with him. Christopher Robin tells them they cannot go but he sets up a classroom for them and tells them all about school.

I like this story because I am a big fan of Winnie-the-Pooh and love all the books that he is in. Winnie-the-Pooh teaches children in a happy and fun way about life lessons.

I could use this book on the first day of school to help relieve some of the anxiousness that the children may be feeling. Winnie-the-Pooh is usually a character everyone knows. ( )
