Not one of my favorites I'll admit. Tom just seems to be cross and bitchy all the time in this one. During Spring Break he's working at a gay community center. When he's in the office early one Saturday morning he finds a severed head in a file drawer. Through the course of the book we meet a number of interesting characters, some of the other counselors and some of the kids ranging from high school football stars to flaming queens. They arrest one of his former students and there are various other suspects along the course of the way. I will admit that they mystery part of it had me flummoxed til the end. All the people it seemed to be pointing at end up dead.
