"Werewolf" was the extended Nazi plant for guerrilla warfare after the Allied formal Victory. In reality, no one was interested in pursuing the plan, once the war was over. Mr. Gardner gives it a whirl for thriller material. ( )

An entertaining book about ghosts and being haunted. This is the second Garnder, the first being [The Dancing Dodo], and both have been about Nazi horrors encroaching on the present (in this case the mid-70s.)

A research for British intelligence is asked to look at the file of someone believed to be the heir apparent to the resurrected third reich. Almost against his will he is drawn deeper into the case. Any more would give lovely things away. The mechanics show slightly on this story, some things seem out of place but necessary to move the story, but it’s still a great read for a cold January day.
