This simple book, in English and the langauage of the Haudenosaunee is the Thanksgiving Address with ancient roots over 1000 years old, each segment ending with the words "Now our minds are one." The segments include The People, The earth Mother, The Waters, The Fish, The Plants, The Food Plants, The Medicine Herbs, The Animals, The Trees, The Birds, The Four Winds, The Thunderers, The Sun, Grandmother Moon, The Stars, The Enlightened Teachers and The Creator. Each segment in this volume has a simple accompanying line sketch. In modern times as we face endangered species, rampant development and an inceasingly crowded planet this ancient address puts the sources of a healthy life in perspective and lets us appreciate those places where show more we still can encounter the natural world. show less
