Randy's just moved to Shadyside, and it turns out that being the new girl can be dangerous for twelve-year-olds- they have to play hide-and-seek with a ghost! Randy thinks she knows who the ghost is- Lucas! During the game, however, she discovers she's wrong and the ghost almost catches her. Lucas saves her in the nick of time- and gets caught himself. Luckily some graveyard ghosts tease the ghost out of Lucas and he and Randy escape.
This book was very frightening. It kept me up at night.
