This is an grand story told by an OK storyteller. Reading the story, it did seem to have a distance to it. I attributed it to the titular character learning English at a later age (or did she ever?). Would it be considered a spoiler to tell you that her son had a large hand in writing this book?

It's a higher 2 star book because I think the family had to write it just to provide some closure to their lives. I congratulate them on that and wish them the best of luck. ( )
