As is typical with books issued by the park service, Appomattox Court House is beyond dry. I gave it 4 stars, however, because it did offer the best, most concise information possible, which was what I was looking for. However, if you are looking for more of a novel/history account that is the more popular style these days, look somewhere else. ( )
