Silly, dark, crazy, goofy, dark, witty, and dark again. This one kept me guessing and threw a lot of curveballs. It also makes me wish our library had a restricted section...
I had heard that Rankin's work was on par with Terry Pratchett's but I just did not enjoy this at all. It was way too heavy handed. And boring. Glad I got it out of the library rather than buying it.
