Stephanie Kessler is forever trying to please her parents, especially her father who seems to think everything she does is wrong. Especially Trevor Whittaker, a close friend back in college who she enjoyed spending time with. Stephanie is now employed at her former college and her family has been a part of the college since it's creation. She loves her job, and Trevor is thrown into her path again with a small renovation project for her office.
Trevor Whittaker was at one time the rebel child in the area, always pushing things, but never really too far. Now he is a partial business owner and he is trying hard to be respectable. He has always like Steff, but as the renovation project continues he feels his feelings intensify toward show more her.
Throw in some suspense and a mystery that isn't solved in this book and you get a good start to this series. The Christian elements in this are subdued, but there in a good way. Steff comes to terms with some things and the lesson is very good.
All-in-all I thought this book jumped around a little bit, but it was still enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning to this small-town college and learning more about the people involved and ultimately the overlapping mystery. show less
