I absolutely adore this book! This is a couples devotional that is EXCELLENT! My husband and I are really enjoying going through it together and look forward to the time we spend reading it each night.
After getting married in June 2010 my husband and I started reading this devotional together. We really love the book and it has plenty of thought provoking questions. A lot of these quesions are geared toward people being married for longer than 6 months, yet this book holds a wealth of information and insight on how men and women think differently. It also gives plenty of examples of how the couple can work to strengthen their marriage. Recommended to every married couple, even it if's been 1 year, 5 years, 10 or more...
The very first devotion in this book had me crying. Very, very good devotional for couples!
Read this before we had kids, would probably be a different read now. Don't recommend it unless you have kids.

James C. Dobson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 21, 1936. He received an undergraduate degree from Pasadena College and a Ph.D. in child development from the University of Southern California. He was an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and on the attending staff of show more Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He was founder and president of Focus on the Family, an organization that produces nationally broadcast radio programs on domestic issues, but is no longer affiliated with the organization because of significant philosophical differences with the new leadership. He is founder and president of Family Talk, a nonprofit organization that produces his radio program, Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk. He is the author of more than 30 books dedicated to the preservation of the family including The New Dare to Discipline, Love for a Lifetime, When God Doesn't Make Sense, Life on the Edge, Love Must Be Tough, The New Strong-Willed Child, Marriage Under Fire, and Head Over Heels.
