This is a good book for kids who are interested in Star Wars and may be reading at an end-of-2nd grade, beginning-3rd grade level. It has the text features that most DK Readers have: contents, glossary (with Star Wars terminology), index, and captions. The book is well designed, with many full page photographs. The introduction really hooks the reader. ( )

Orphan boy Anakin Skywalker is trained as a Jedi knight, falls in love with Padmé Amidala, is influenced by the sinister Chancellor Palpatine, and falls over to the Dark Side, transforming into the brutal Sith Lord known as Darth Vader.
