The stigma that bats have is often so negative. Young children have often not been exposed to the positive ways that bats help our earth. Pringle does a beautiful job of explaining the delicate place bats hold in our world. The illustrations are well done, and it is important for children to realize that not all books with illustrations are fictional. ( ) This Laurence Pringle informational text is all about bats. In this piece of children’s literature, students can learn all about bats- from how they eat by fishing from the water and by eating mosquitoes during flight.
